Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Soft, chewy, classic chocolate chip cookies made with simple pantry ingredients. One bowl, no chilling required, and perfect for first-time bakers.
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers look slightly soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Cookies will firm up as they cool—do not overbake.
- For softer cookies, remove from oven when centers look slightly underdone.
- Butter should be soft, not melted.
